Xert and intervals.icu estimated FTP way higher than ramp test. Is that normal?

Funnily enough, my all time PR for 1min is 639W when my FTP (ramp test) was 215W, around a year ago. I skew towards short stuff it seems.

For both Xert and intervals.icu, it was my ride yesterday. I think, if I recall correctly, intervals gave me 331 from the ramp test, but I can’t remember exactly. I do know that all the highest FTP estimations I get from intervals come from outside rides.

Good catch Steve. Stand corrected. It certainly is possible and it may explain the results. HIE over 30kj would likely lower FTP quite substantially. Noticing the breakthrough chart, there is only a brief max effort (pointy green diamond) which will make it harder to discern how big HIE should be and thus how much lower TP (FTP) should be.

The higher numbers might be too low too. If you went out and tried to hold those numbers in perfect conditions, fully motivated, and killing yourself to the line, you’d see if they were right.
