I agree with a lot of other people on here, ERG mode is great on workouts, it’s the reason why i upgraded my turbo, i can focus on my pedal stroke and cadence with out having to constantly look at the screen to keep in the power range. It’s made a big difference for me.
ERG mode stuggles with short sprints, 5 secs or less, 10 secs and above are fine, but i rarely do workouts with very short sprints, i prefer to do these out on the road.
According to Chad on multiple podcasts, they recommend going into resistance mode for sprint/short interval workouts as ERG mode doesn’t “catch up” fast enough with the huge, but short-lived step insertions of power.
Is there a key to change the setting in TR? Or don’t you need to set it at the start of the workout? Just curious doesn’t realy apply to me until I actually get a proper trainer one day
On PC, the ‘M’ key is the shortcut. You can also use the mouse to change it as displayed on the bottom.
On mobile, you have to go into the Devices and trainer to swap. No shortcut for mobile.
Hi Chad - is there a list of keyboard shortcuts anywhere for the interface? As a relatively new user it’s something I went looking for when I signed up but I can’t find anything remotely like this in the support site.
In particular I was trying to work out how to skip ahead on the PC version - which I’m guessing may not be possible as I was using my laptop in tablet/touchscreen mode.
