Evening ride. 3400’ of climbing and descending in 2 hrs. It’s hard to do indoor TR workouts this time of year.
I love your ride pictures.
Colorado. It’s a great place to be a bike rider.
Mostly succeeded at a chill spin around the lake. Not living at the top of a hill would make this a lot easier.
The usual… and I love that this is my usual even while living in a big city…
Summer has arrived in Sweden!
12k of climbing, blue skies and a handlebar bag full of Belgian sugar waffles…
Another trip deep into the SF Delta:
Pear trees ripped out and replaced with grapes. New vines are popping up all over the valley…
No hammering yesterday, took two friends for a tour of our nearby shore towns, I do this ride every year but usually go for speed, yesterday we cruised and took in and sights and sun, stopped to take pictures and grab food, it was a great day, sorry for the photo overload, and not sure why some of the photos turned sideways
Recovery week is lining up with gorgeous weather so I’m taking it outside:
Hubby found some gravel trails in a sprawling university arboretum, and I didn’t take a single picture, so here’s Google Street View:
I’ve heard people say that recovery rides should leave you feeling fresher after you get off the bike than before you got on, and wow was that true today. Couldn’t resist trying for a PR on one of my short hills at the end, but was foiled by a very confused truck. I totally woulda nabbed the QOM.
Nothing special here. Sunday’s ride was in slightly wet weather and weirdly, in a good way, peaceful in that there were so few people out. I didn’t feel like going far as I already had >600 TSS for the week.
The road goes through the small river valley with good trails on either side. This is after riding the southern side and dropping down to get to a small bridge to cross the river to the north side and toward home. The power died the day before so I suppose this ride didn’t count.
Took the bike in Monday to the LBS and was told to expect a “minimum two weeks” before I get the bike back (one of the disadvantages of living in Switzerland) but today the mechanic called to say it should be ready before next weekend, so under two weeks. Without the trail bike, I replaced this morning’s ride with the first run, a trail run, in memory. The dog was happy about it.
Though the weather was nice and I could have gone for a road ride and done a TR workout, I had set my sights on getting in the pool, the local outdoor 50m. After not being in the water since early January, that I didn’t drown means the swim – only 1k – was a success. Bonus: nearly no one in the pool.
