That makes total sense, but you had mentioned before that you wanted to have a ramp test measured FTP of X watts. But that will only happen if VO2max also goes up as it appears that the ramp is directly related to your VO2max since it’s done in a protocol to reduce anaerobic contribution towards the power total. As FTP goes up as a percentage of VO2max, you’ll find that your FTP may not align as well with the ramp test result.
If I’m honest I’m not really planning on changing a thing. 2018 was a good year for me. I gained FTP, my weight was largely static and I’m fitter than I’ve ever been (38 years old). I’m going to carry on doing what I was doing ![]()
