Training plan with no long rides

I’m signed up for the Traka 360 next May which will be by far my longest ride.

I’ve put the event in to the training plan creator, but the training plan has been created by absolutely no build up in volume. It’s created a plan where every week from now to the event is based around 5x 1hr rides, with an occasional “endurance” ride of 1.5hrs

I put my training approach in as “aggressive” and set it to 5 days per week. The start point feels about right to be 5hrs a week given my recent drop in volume, but i don’t understand why there would be no build up towards race day. I’d be expecting at least a couple of 8-10hr rides

The topic comes up all the time:

Yeah, that Gran Fondo thread has a ton of great info in it on how to be successful in long events with a TR plan.

Let me know if you have any other questions along the way!

Cheers, yeah i’ve been having a look. Seems that it should re-adjust to include longer efforts too once i’ve been up and running for a little while.

I know a lot of longer stuff can be as much fatigue resistance and conditioning the body to be sat in a single position as much as pure endurance, and i’m currently at the level of barely making cutoffs so need every help i can get!

You’ll be surprised what you can do after a good 6 months just following a TR plan.
