Then we have the weight weenie - a Cannondale Supersix Hi Mod, I sanded the paint off and had it down to 4.29kg. Partially stripped down now and various bits sold off. Haven’t decided whether to rebuild to over 5kg or sell what’s left of her yet.
New race rig all built up for the 2020 season. Absolutely love it and how it rides. Have some C40s to go on it for my A races, just use those wheels for training and local races B/C races.
Oh man I’d love to hear your full thoughts on this bike. I’ve been looking at getting the Breed 20 for my next gravel bike, but reviews are so hard to find. Probably the best bang for your buck on the gravel market though, and it has literally every feature I want, too.
Here is my Sworks Tarmac Disc size 58. Bought the frameset after crashing an old Venge I had. Full ultegra mechanical groupset with Roval Clx 64’s. The bikes a real blast to ride and feels rapid going on flat sections, down hills, and of course climbing. Still planning on racing with it quite a bit this year
Moots Routt 54cm. One set of wheels for the road and one for the gravel. It’s great not to have to swap tires depending on the planned route. Disc rotor spacing is identical so swapping between the two takes only a few minutes. I use this bike for everything. Can’t say enough good things about the craftsmen and women at Moots.
I currently ride a road bike, a gravel bike and an MTB.
The road is an 2019 Specialized Allez Sprint. Very happy with it. Started as a basic crit build with cheaper parts so they are replaceable. Really like the way it rides though and have done a century on it…
Gravel is a 2018 Cannondale Super X Apex. Bought it for the color and wanted to change the groupset to a Force, never saw the need. Might go GRX 2x11 though
MTB is a 2016 BMC Fourstroke (120 fork and dropper). It’s getting a bit older now but I don’t really see the need to get a new one here. I’ve done everything from centuries to some slower park stuff on it (tried Leogang and worked, but wasn’t alot of fun. For everything else I love it…
My weapon! Got this monster for this season coming from an old Bianchi Alu bike with tiara gears. After a few rides on this one my old one feels soft as butter when putting some power down Never going back to mechanical gears again, such a nice upgrade
