How do we find each other on Zwift, especially those whose TR Forum name differs from their Zwift name? Search for k.oswald on Zwift to find me.

If we add the same “tag” to our names, that is about the easiest. You can use search for rider in the Companion app with that info to filter the list. So, if we get one that is somewhat unique, and we all add it, that is one way.
I am using (TR) in mine right now, so that works for one possible option at the moment.
That works as long as there are () or on either side of “TR”. Too many names have “tr” in them to just search for that.
Yup, I could have clarified that, but agree the “tr” on it’s own is not ideal for search or tagging.
I chose the (TR) because it roughly looks like the new circular TR logo.
If we end up with an “officially unofficial” TR team, I suspect we will have a name with more than the (TR), in an effort to distance our community sourced effort from the “Official TR” branding.
Could be anything, but something like TrainerRoad Riders, abbrev (TRR) would be one example, that is “unique” enough to not be something that’s part of a “normal name”.
We can toss around ideas and crowd source the name.

No worries! I’m usually watching YouTube or TV and miss messages and kudus too. I just happened to be looking at the screen and noticed you and I was like ohh snap… I know him!

I submitted that basic question to Nate yesterday, and am awaiting an answer.
(I hinted at it in this post, but didn’t specify who or what I asked.)
We can form a team no matter what. The real question is largely the name.

Playing devils advocate - there’s next to no IRL racing this year. Know knows what next year will bring. TR have always said they will get you faster. What better way to prove that in the middle of a pandemic than racing on Zwift? Zwift teams are not an official Zwift thing. Club functionality may enhance teams when It begins. If you wanted to set up a team you could do it without TR agreement. Just call it something else. If TR are confident in their product then their riders should do well. There’s also a publicity opportunity. People are watching Zwift racing just now…

Yeah, I’m not married to the TR name necessarily. It was just the easy connection based on the OP and related discussion about tagging.
I am already a TeamODZ member, but I haven’t done an official event under that name in a long time. Great guys and racers, but I just haven’t aligned my schedule to what they have done the last couple of years.
The team aspect can be fun in events if you can actually communicate live (via Discord or TR Group Workouts) and talk about tactics and such. I really enjoyed the ones I have done with then, and a few with local riders too. That connection is what makes it enjoyable for me, more than the actual results.

Ugh, I have like any route that takes longer than 2 hours left on my list. It would be super cool if you all did set up a meetup to tackle a long one here and there! I’m time limited, but would do my best to schedule it in!

Grabbed the SL7 Jersey this morning just in case. It looks a good option to these aged eyes.
Full of the lurgy and shouldn’t have ridden, so tried to control effort via Bald Knob. Didn’t quite work - should have put the keyboard further away! Next time

Added the ‘(TR)’ tag to my name, R. Woodcock. Will keep a look out for others, although time differences will be interesting. I’m from the UK.
