I ride on Zwift with TT1 after my name (Team Tyoe 1) as there is a facebook comminity and everything, forever getting likes fro fellow TT1’ers, just think for a tag and make it the TrainerRoad tag, everybody here will know what it means

i run Zwift on the laptop and TR on my iPhone, letting the phone control the trainer. easy.

Same here. Zwift on iPad, TR on Android phone. When co-riding I make sure to start TR first with smart trainer connected via BLE to make sure Zwift doesn’t seize control of the smart trainer. Everything else on connected to Zwift via BLE and TR via ANT+. Works great!

I’m totally going to put TR behind my name. Y’all better give me ride ons.

It would also be awesome to have a team, doing group rides and races. But I’d be the worst teammate. I’m suuuuuuper time constrained only riding at 7:15pm PST weekdays :disappointed_relieved:

I run with TR after my name on Zwift as well. I’ve never seen anyone else (except Chad) out there, but I’m there… @runriderandi I’m on quite a bit during weekdays around that time, but usually wrapping my rides up at 7:30pm PT.

Right now I’m doing most of my TR work on Volcano circuit or Tempus Fugit, then my free ride days I run a Zwift workout up AdZ. Working on Masochist and power-leveling for better kit.

Oh, I’m sure I’ve seen you then! All I do is tempus fugit as of late :joy: I got my Tron bike in February like two weeks before baby was born, and it’s been flat rides ever since, because I want to unlock all the dope stuff. TR makes me stronger, but sometimes it’s Zwift that actually gets me on the saddle.

I should probably start climbing AdZ more to start getting closer to that masochist badge because the completionist in me needs it. And those damned lightweight wheels because I get the gloves every. freaking. time.

I added you and Chad on zwift :v:

I added TR to my name as well. What I really want is a TR jersey, but can’t see that happening…

Im r.k.oswald on Zwift, with DIRT and USMES after. I’ll add TR the next time I log on.

I load the Zwift file to my main Strava account because I want the realistic miles and elevation for challenges, badges, and Conqueror Events virtual challenges. I load the TR file to a separate private Strava account and copy / paste the TR image to my main account. I also name the ride after the TR workout to ensure TR gets as much credit / recognition as possible.

You’ll hate me, but I got the Lightweights the first time I did AdZ, and just got them (well, the 1000xp bonus) for the 4th time in 13 completions tonight.

It would be great to have a TR team on zwift doing TR workouts with that zwift setting that allows everybody to stay together no matter what their w/kg output is.

Putting the TR in my name is already working, ha! Plus, do I seem like a fangirl or what :joy:

It would be east to organise a team, and create a Meetup ride.

I would recommend to do the more legit races such as the Velocious Sport Tue Night Criterium and USA Cycling Race League by Indoor Specialist, [The Lamb Chop p/b Black Sheep] (Australian), there are a few others as well. These tend to have less issues with riders and you will find the Legion and other teams racing. The Lamb chop has the top NRS Team in Australia and other top ranked riders.

The WTRL TTT series as well is good if you like team time trials.

With nearly all racing now cancelled or postponed I like to do race at least once a week, it keeps my competitive juices flowing. I still get nerves for some races, and treat it like a actual race. I don’t taper though its all training for the real thing.

I just use a laptop and have Zwift and TR running at the same time, both using the same BLE connection and it works fine. I dont think there is a technical reason to need to run an alternate Ant+ signal to the machine as well? I am also using a TickR HR strap via BLE and both apps are also able to read that data too. As mentioned, TR will always try and control the trainer, so I just deselect it in Zwift as the controllable device.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll give it a try.

I think I’m going to do the same, for the same reason. I always feel like a jerk constantly surging ahead of and dropping behind other strong riders who are wondering WTF I am doing.

Just for you mate  I think it took me around 10 completions.

Added TR to my Z name and did the first ride repping. Managed to snag a cool jersey in the process, doing Pettit . . . :man_facepalming: Guess we’ll call that the TR bump. Then again, too bad I didn’t pick AdZ so I could say I did it, at elevation. . .

If you guys wanted to do this a little more organised, you could all register on Zwiftpower and someone take the lead on organising a TrainerRoad Zwiftpower team. That’s the easiest way for you all to find each other and what events your all signed up for. Might be worth asking for a sticky thread to be made so it’s obvious for all where to find you all?

Since TR - at least the podcast crew - is clearly a group of Specialized fanboys and fangirls (well, I guess Amber reps Cannondale too), do the Seven Days of Tarmac SL7… just one stage and you get the red and black Specialized Pro jersey. Seems appropriate for Team TR to just go ahead and rep Specialized in appropriate TR colors.

Depending on what we’d really like to do, I may be willing to help with this (ZwiftPower team) in the Fall.
