Indeed, ideally would to keep the Saturday as the priority ride for the Dynamic Endurance and let TR AI keep increasing its duration but also adjust the Friday ride to fill any gaps.
Ahh.
Well, there’s probably not going to be a time when it’s ideal to have two long workouts back-to-back.
In that case, I’d use Saturday as a Dynamic Endurance day and just set Friday to have a max duration of whatever you think is fitting for the day before a long ride in your schedule.
In that case, we won’t always schedule something that meets your max duration. We’ll ensure that you’ve worked up to it, so it works similarly.
Again, if you’re on a plan that gives you the option for two dynamic endurance rides, it’s best not to have them back-to-back. I’d put the Easy Ride on Friday and set the cap to where you want us to cut things off.
If you run out of productive workouts at that duration, and you have Workout Extension enabled, we’ll show you what the most productive workout is for that day, regardless of duration, and you can make the call as to which to do.
OK, can see how what you would propose works. I do not know about the feature you mention enabling “Workout Extension”. Where is this set?
Ahh. Got it, yes I have that enabled. Will move forward as suggested, however would still like the concept thought about as a feature as given the addition of the feature @Jonathan mentioned in the podcast where rides are auto pushed to Outdoor the work around you have described may not work.
Hi…
No doubt that TrainerRoad has developed an amazing AI solution, which is forged by tons of rides and perfected via data analysis, etc., etc. However, my issue is that a piece of functionality that was super useful has been removed.
My question to TrainerRoad is: Is it possible to get this filter back?
Regards M
I would like to see the rating scale change. There are times when a ride is neither moderate or hard, or easy and moderate.
Feature Request: Weather Forecast integration for calendar view.
Take my current location, add the low temp, high temp, precip % from a 10 day forecast datasource to the calendar. In a world where you have good weather data, put toggles in settings for other data points like sunrise, sundown, avg wind direction, etc.
I love this idea!
Now that AI FTP is out along with TR AI, (amazing work, guys!) I think a great next update would be to allow us to set a goal FTP and then TR AI creates a realistic training schedule/calendar for us to get there!
There would be obvious caveats, but I think that would be cool to see realistically how long it would take and the workouts that would get us there. We could choose options like what plan builder has, but instead of your duration your would input your goal FTP.
Let’s make this happen!
Imagine the complaints when the AI comes back with ‘won’t happen in this lifetime.’ ![]()
Ha!
But to that point having it in a range, could actually be possible - maybe +10%-15% ??
This but…
I want TR AI to model out my current full power curve and then the projected/simulated future one.
Then rather than choosing a single ftp number you are wanting to achieve it lets you shape your future potential power curve.
That way i can communicate where i want to improve, and get information on how to pace an effort in my current form. (rather than picking some pretty arbitrary named training focus)
And as a bonus everyone stops moaning about what ftp means as they can just pick a duration they think it is.
Never gonna happen ![]()
That would be huge. I think most people who received an estimated fresh 20 minute and 60 minute power thought that they were pretty accurate with the AIFTP being within that bracket.
I’d take an AI max heart rate estimate and heart rate zones estimate. I know power is king and I don’t feel any need to change that but I’d love to learn more about how my heartrate is interacting with my training.
I have zero interest in a max heart rate test though.
Would love to be able to work on a 10 week. I want to do 2-3-2 repeats to really build up my base. Thanks for the platform cheers alan
I’d love to be able to tell the AI what hours I have available per day each week and have it adjust the plan based on that, similar to Join. As someone with a roster which is never the same two weeks in a row the set days per week can be a challenge.
When a monopoly card is triggered on a hard workout in the future, have the system go back and reduce the intensity leading up to it. If its Friday and my workout on Saturday is being reduced to an endurance ride from a Threshold, the system should know to reduce todays ride or recommend a rest day. It wouldn’t need to do this forward looking calculations everytime, just use the monopoly card as a trigger.
I would be interested to see what TR thinks my genetic FTP ceiling is around.
