Submitted a support ticket about this, but figured I’d mention it here too once I figured out exactly how broken/how much of a bug this is.
Starting today, every time I open the app, I get a splash page that “TR AI Can’t Find a Workout,” and am then asked to detect FTP. Existing FTP is from just two weeks ago. If I detect FTP it suggests an FTP that is… basically unchanged from the existing one lol (down 2%, so like not different at all).
A single digit watt difference in FTP setting shouldn’t completely prevent the AI from finding workouts.
So I submitted a non-urgent ticket about the behavior and was just going to ignore this… but it’s popping up literally every time I open the app… as well as every time I go to TR in the browser - it takes up the entire page and prevents you from doing anything! And if you hit refresh or go to a different tab, it pops up again!
I deleted the plan I had, so there was no plan for the AI to even be trying to schedule workouts for… and it still gives this error every time!
So I accepted the change… and it keeps happening even now! It’s basically stuck in an infinite loop of saying I need to change my AI FTP to the exact same value it already is.
It seems to be related to the next scheduled workout being a pinned custom workout.
The behavior in question started immediately after finishing a pinned custom workout (in the middle of a plan), leaving the next scheduled workout to be a pinned custom one I’d inserted.
Out of curiosity, I rescheduled that workout so that it wasn’t the next one, and the weird behavior in question stopped happening.
I then moved this workout back to today… and it’s still behaving normally again for now.
Something about that setup with custom workouts seems to be what triggered the glitch.
I have the same issue. The difference is that I am very new to the platform. I am getting the same prompts when I try to do anything in the app as well as when I try to look at a scheduled ride. I have deleted my plan and no change. At first I thought it was because I have very little training data, so I completed a ramp test as suggested in the app, yet I continue to have this problem.
Hey @Caro.Gomez-Villafane, I can consistently reproduce this behavior. Every time I’ve tried adding Rodgers as a warmup to my calendar today, it immediately reverts to a generic “anaerobic” workout with a “training data needed” warning. Clicking on it pops the “TrainerRoad AI can’t find a workout” modal.
I have run into the same issue. This time with Truuli Peak. It seems that there are some workouts that are a little different or lacking metadata - so they don’t give me a difficulty prediction or propose alternate rides. Those seem to be the rides that trigger this bug.
