Scratch one GC contender already - Marlen Reusser is out from food poisoning

Scratch Kopecky. Sore back is showing its ugly head.
So far it’s been a great race. Not often you see a 1 person break take the stage.

I’m so bummed she’s out.

Also, I thought that Vos handled the end of Stage 1 really well, especially in the press. She’s so awesome! I don’t think she’ll win in the end but I do think she’s amazing.

Whenever I hear this kind of long term effect from injury i wonder if its RED-S raising its ugly head. Particularly in a sport as weight obsessed as cycling is.

Such a fun race to watch. So much more entertaining and tighter than the mens!

Urska isnt racing the TDFFaZ, but i hope you’re correct with the end result! Sarah is into the top 10 now after the first moderately hilly stage.

my dream is shattered

Back to back stage wins for Squiban! Impressive. That’s got to be a huge career boost.

What a ride! That was a savage attack for the win.
Also have to appreciate we’ve had 4 different winners in 4 years. Makes for much more exciting racing than “how early will Pog take yellow” in the men’s tour.

The first bunch stages, for me, were like watching paint dry. But the last few have been great! Winning the last stage solo in yellow had to be just incredible.

Yeah, I was less interested in all of the first bunch stages, but I actually really liked the “hillier” stages (rather than just the pure mountain stages like the last two) best. This was a super exciting race, and I really enjoyed the whole yellow jersey competition PLUS all of the individual stages. It was far more interesting than the men’s side overall.
