The Doughnut is NOT Done!

It’s never good to have to bow out for health reasons. On the other hand you have to know when to call it quits and realize that there are more important things in life than bicycles.

I can’t believe I just said that!

I sincerely hope that you and the doctors are able to find a course of treatment that will help you continue to live life to the fullest. Your contributions here are always great. With any luck, we’ll see you lurking here and maybe even back on the saddle again!

Considering this happened during my last Rattlesnake…


…I thought I’d better calm the f*ck down (as the book puts it) until I get things sorted.
No use chasing a short term gain if it costs me my entire long term.

I won’t beat the howmuchthissucks horse to death cuz that gets old fast…heh, that used to be me – ‘old fast’… Just thought I would be polite (I am :canada: eh) instead of just disappearing. Also hoping maybe this might serve as an eye opener to my fellow athletes that even if you’re a megawatt FTP machine who smashes it out 5 months a year…there can be evil things lurking inside you…so…

Obviously there are a range of causes of tachycardia, but it doesn’t necessarily have to mean the end of endurance sports.

My good buddy i run with had tachycardia, he was able to get surgery to fix the issue and has been on unrestricted exercise since I met him.

Here’s hoping @Captain_Doughnutman can make a comeback after some time away and keeps getting faster after 40.
