Sub7 Sub8 on tomorrow

I wish they’d had more data for the Pacers and also the main athletes. I know they had a separate site set up, but I couldn’t get to it and the one I did was useless as it was just timings.

Agree. Now that you mention it, I’d rather see that than the relay at the Olympics. It’d not be mixed gender friendly though, so now that I think about it it wouldn’t work so well. I’d love to see it though. 3-up team time trial, swim-bike-run.

Between this and the chat about TTT in the Grand Tours I really miss the best TTT stuff. There’s a surprising dearth of good TTT content on YT :pensive:.

It could work… 2 men, 2 women result time taken on the third person across the line (like a team pursuit.)
You probably need to stay together until T2… so go the speed to the weakest link.

I love to see that.

No, mixed couldn’t work.

You would form teams where the run times are similar, balance the swim and bike by alternating the draft accordingly.

So two strong bike runners with one strong swim runner.

Sounds like a PTO experiment to me

Mind you, Varga/Brownlee/Brownlee would likely knock it out of the park.

Actually thinking about it only Anne Haug, LCB, Daniela Ryf, Sarah Crowley, Lauren Brandon (and few others) could hang with second group Men.
Guess I’d got LCB swim split in my head. Lol

It could be similar to CC or other team efforts.
I think this format would work better on a non IM/HIM distance.
A hybrid distace would probably work better…
like
1 mile swim
50 miles ride
and a 10 miles

in reality the only time they can really work together is during the bike and maybe the swim. The run is mostly individual.

Thats what I was thinking… hence my until T2 comment.

Might be able to do IM swim, 70.3 bike and a 15km run.

However it would be simpler to just have a Mens and Womens TTT.

there has to be a motivation to keep together…
I like the M/W split…
draft legal on road bikes (hence the shorter bike ride).
Points to the TEAM that finish faster and closer on each event…
Maybe bonus point for finishing together…
that would force the team to stick together or at least close…
