BMC time machine looks amazing too. Not sure on exchange rates to $ but could be a contender at the upper end of the budget. No experience with it, but it’s a bit different to what most people ride.

I love the looks of every BMC bikes but apparently the cockpit is pain to work on… and the living proof is this very unhappy mechanic. His face expression tells more than a thousand words:

I was looking at teammachine at my local dealership and I was very close to pulling a trigger (if not the fact that it’s too good bike for my skills).

My understanding is the compression ring was upgraded at factory in 2020. My bike was manufactured in March 2021 and only needed the new expander plug. While I’m an engineer (electrical, not mechanical), its not my area of experise and I’m not qualified to pass judgement on the technical aspects.
However from a legal point-of-view, hard to imagine Specialized not properly fixing this and taking on even more potential liability.
