How do you get the code? I’d like to buy another Romin Mirror.

I really wanted to get some newer shoes in wide but all wides are not showing anymore which makes sense.
Go to what website? Sorry if I’m being thick here. I’m not sure where and how you’re saying to get the discount. Did the person you replied to delete something from their post? Apologies if I’m just totally missing something.
TL;DR - when you’re measuring saddle tilt, do so on level ground… not on your trainer or any other slope.
Went back and made some adjustments prior to my last 90-minute outdoor ride. I had previously measured my saddle flat at the rails… but my dumb ass did so while it was mounted on the trainer. So the last 2-hour ride I did outdoors I noticed a lot more pressure on my hands out on the road, whereas on the trainer I was comfortable.
So, stupid me takes the bike off the trainer and checks it again, sure enough my seat is down almost 10 degrees by the nose on flat ground, and roughly six degrees at the rails. So OF COURSE I was feeling more cramped and more pressure. So I tried:
-
Leveling the seat, 0 degrees from where the center at the widest part of the wings to the front of the cutout. I found that this was WAY more comfortable on the hands, but put a bit of pressure on the tender bits.
-
When I finished the ride, I measured again at the rails and found I had a 3 degree tip UP at the rails to get the saddle level. So I went back and leveled the saddle at the rails, now measuring a 2-3 degree nose down as previously measured. When I rode for a few minutes like this, the saddle felt like a dream.
I’ll be testing it on a 2+ hour outdoor ride today and see how it goes, then back on the trainer tomorrow.
Based on what I’ve ridden so far, I’m fairly certain once I get the saddle tilt dialed in, this will be my saddle of the future. So far no matter what bibs I am wearing, the comfort on the seat is far greater than on my old Power.
Haha, I have done the same. I have one bike on the trainer almost 6 months of the year and I adjust the tilt a bit since its different on the road vs trainer!
Good catch ![]()
Hope it works fine going forward!
Or raise / lower the front end while on the trainer so that the bike angle is the same indoors and out.
I use a cutting board to get it leveled
I generally run the front end a few degrees higher on the trainer for comfort.
I understand how a cutting board would enable you to level the saddle using the nose and tail. However, it seems to me that the nose would be too high if the tail has any “upsweep”. Thus, I level from where my tailbone contacts the saddle to the nose. Am I wrong?
One note. My trainer is a Wahoo Kickr so the bike is level to the floor as long as I have the Kickr adjusted to be level (700c setting)
I’m note sure if I understand you. The front of my bike was a tiny bit too low mounted to Kickr Core compared to “real life”. Why? The rear side doesn’t sag under my weight (no tire) and the front tire has chronicaly low pressure, thus the correction.
Just made the jump and bought a Power Mirror. I did two workouts so far and omg that thing is amazing. Zero pressure point or hot spot. I’ll have a hard time riding anything else moving forward.
Fwiw Im coming from a S-Works Power and although it was somewhat comfortable, there was always a small pressure point here and there
Cant wait to get my two as well and then sell my power and power elaston
You’re heading down a dangerous road my friend
there is a reason why three bikes here at home have Mirror saddles.
My ass won’t accept anything else now…
I loved my power arc until I got on the trainer and now I am noticing a ton of pressure and pain after a 60 min + ride. I will buy the Power Mirror in the next week or so and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for all the info guys!
I can also add that bibs make a HUGE difference indoors, just so we dont forget that aspect as well.
I for example only run my ASSOS Equipe RSR S9 on rides that are around an hour, anything more than that my Pas Normal Studios bibs are much better due to thicker padding further forward on the chamois, as well as wider chamois in general, so less chafing.
But with that said, I dont think you’ll be disappointed ![]()
try adjusting the angle of the nose UP a degree or 2. It makes a HUGE difference.
If you put a proper spirit level (not a phone app) on the saddle, it should sit completely level, this gives the illusion of the nose tilting up a touch. Changes the pressure point of the saddle and put more on the sitbones than the nose which is the most common complaint.
Love the mirror and it solved my sitbone issues. The one drawback I experienced is that the saddle is quite ‘grippy’, making it harder to move around.
Mine got less and less grippy in time, my most ridden one isn’t even completely matte anymore but a bit shiny in some places!
