Rockshox Sid with remote?

I’m considering setting up a SID fork and SIDLUX shock with a manual remote lockout. I can’t figure out how to do that looking at the Rockshox website. I don’t see a listing for a fork with a remote damper cap, or a listing for a conversion kit. Same with the shock, although it looks like it might come with the shock mounted parts to remote it. The remote lever options look more straightforward. How do I go about specifying the appropriate fork, shock, remote and necessary parts?

Do you already have a SID that you’re looking to convert? Otherwise you would just purchase one that is setup for remote lockout. Same for the SIDLuxe - figure out what size you need and what damper settings and order it from a Rockshox dealer.

Hey, thanks for the tip. It might be the way I have to go though I’ve always gone to a manufacturer’s materials/website to understand their product offerings, specs, configurations, and options, then armed with that info and part numbers go to my LBS to have them order the stuff. It doesn’t look like I can get that info from the Rockshox website, so I’ll have to give the LBS a verbal description and see if they can figure out what to order. I expect their Rockshox portal will have more and better information than the consumer site.

The Rockshox site is super unhelpful in product selection but their manuals do list part numbers so you can sometimes use that to determine exactly what you need.

You could also find it on an online retailers site and they will often list the SRAM part number that you could use when ordering.

I did exactly what you want to do for my Epic Evo and I went through SRAM customer service and they were able to recommend all the necessary parts number.

Nice! I never thought of calling them. I’ll have to give that a try.

I actually only communicated with them via email but they were very quick to reply.
