Rocker Plate Impact on Aches/Pains on the Trainer

Anyone have rocker plate experience on aches and pains? I don’t use the trainer much, but when I do in the spring I find sitting in the same position tends to generate some back ache and stiffness that I don’t get outside. I am wondering if a rocker plate may add a dynamic that would be of benefit. Yes, I have a complementary core routine, I do weights and have no such pains outside. Thoughts?

I have a simple one. It helps relieve lower back pain. It’s also good for “the pain in my arse” from sitting for long intervals. And if I’m really bored I can rock side to side with the music.

I love my rocker plate. I’ve got an omnirocker, which has side to side tilt but also forward and backward movement. For me, it has made riding the turbo so much more manageable. I really struggled with the turbo being in locked in a static position, but having the movement has made everything feel better. For me, the side to side motion made a big difference for comfort, but it is probably to fore/aft movement that makes things feel more real

I have 2 kickr v6’s. One with the insideride e-flex plus that I’ve used for the last 18ish months, 6-8 hrs most weeks.

I recently bought a 2nd when they were on the huge sale for mine/wive’s Epic 8’s. On that, I just added the trainer feet with racquetballs from Etsy. I was wondering how it’d be after using the premium insideride for so long. While not quite as great, it’s still 1000x better than stationary. I rode the epic 8 on the trainer for 7.5 hrs since Monday and the arse felt good. Maybe better than mosaic (other fit items were a big difference, though).

While I like the insideride, I didn’t find it to be groundbreaking for comfort, moreso experience. At a bare minimum, I’d always get some tennis/racquetball feet!

Yes. As I’ve gotten older, I find using a full motion rocker really makes riding the trainer much more comfortable. Seated and pedaling normally, the bike only moves a few cm l/r and fore and aft, but it really helps with overall comfort, and butt pain.
