People can and should focus on where they need to make the most gains. If a lack of riding skill or ability is a limiter from a performance or safety perspective, that needs to have time in the schedule.

That’s true even if it means replacing a fitness ride with a skills based one. Picked properly you may be able to keep the primary fitness workouts and replace the more “filler” ones.

They covered the aspect of people with potentially better fitness than skills. I think it’s a great idea for people to have both obviously. As said above, I don’t think we advocates are pushing an either/or, it’s the AND meaning a mix of in and out.

Like any other tool, recognize the good and bad… and use it to meet your needs.
