I started using RideNow TPUs on my climbing bike last year. My “A” event is 10 hours and I didn’t want to lose 4+ pounds of air from my latex tubes over that time period. I thought I would remove them after the event, but I didn’t bother.
They worked great. They don’t have quite as good a road feel as latex, and they have a bit of a sound to them, similar to the sound of carbon wheels. After I replaced those tires, I went back to latex for the ride feel. But I’ll be going back to the RideNow tubes in June for my long event.
They also make great spare tubes because of their weight. They are easy to mount because they are so slippery.
