I keep seeing the TSS formula displayed as: TSS = 100*(t * NP * IF) / (FTP * 3600), where t is workout seconds. But NP/FTP is just IF, so is there a reason (other than maybe marketing) it’s always written with NP, IF, and FTP?
Usually when equations are expanded out it’s to illustrate how the pieces work together, but TSS = (IF^2) * T * 100 seems much more intuitive (where T is workout hours).
