Progression Levels now in Strava Images

So I have a slightly different take on this - I think it’s interesting to show the PLs and left it on for now as I’m finally enjoying AT after all the delays and issues last year.

But with free advertising comes visibility and accountability to strange behavior… is it ready for prime time advertising?

Consider the example below. Dana -1 is 4x9 min threshold intervals with 12x 1-minute repeats at 120%. The 1 min repeats are clearly defined as VO2max in the workout summary on TrainerRoad. Yet - check out the awesome VO2max PL I got uploaded to Strava after nailing this workout

In PL-world, a dedicated VO2 max workout with 15x1 min repeats, returning to a generous 40% recovery between each, is good for something in the low 3s on PL. When done with the recoveries taking place just under threshold, I’d think maybe a bit more. So why not even a secondary progression?

I did run it by support and answer was that it’s basically proprietary how progressions are assigned. To me, seems like maybe just an oversight in how the workout was classified. To someone seeing AT for the first time in this image, might be more like “WTF, that’s total nonsense… what is TrainerRoad doing here?”
