Do you all know how you’re losing battery covers? Crashes? Jarring downhill? Jumps/ features? Just riding along?? I’m curious if I should be keeping a spare cover around. Can they be purchased separately or is it a customer service request? Wife and I both have p2m ngeco on our XC MTB.

I lost mine about 4-6 miles into a ride, likely from contact with bushes while riding a fresh cut trail. I didn’t notice until mile or so later, but am pretty sure it was those bushes. I ordered several replacements for $5 from a small vendor, and now tape to add security.

I’ve had one on my mtb for almost 2 years now and the only time I almost lost it was when I changed the battery and didn’t completely seat the cover on the tabs. But I also descend with my right foot forward so maybe that blocks it a bit from any passing brush.

I almost lost it on the first ride because I didn’t push it down all the way after checking the battery during install. If they had just put two screws to attach the piece then I would have nothing at all to complain about with the power meter. As it is now I have a panic check or two during every r…

I’ve used gorilla tape in the past too, I now use clear caulking. Looks a bit better and seems to work. I still keep a spare cover or two kicking around though. I really hope they fix that in the future. It’s fine on my road bike PM where the pedaling is much more ‘straight’ but it is a problem …

Redneck hack as requested.

I am considering alternates like using a small zip tie around the base of the cover, just below the tab hooks. Would prevent lifting over the tabs and might look a tab cleaner.
