Power meter pedals on eMTB

I’m just about to buy an eMTB and am looking for power meter pedals. I want pedals as I’ll use them on my gravel bike too.

Anyone got any suggestions? Criteria for me are good value, inexpensive, clips (egg beater or SPD preferred), and able to be used as flats when necessary.

Also, anyone got any idea why eMTBs don’t track power? They’ve got a motor and surely can track it and link with a head unit?

No need to pay more, easy to transfer between bikes.

No idea on your second question.

Having a motor is far different than having a calibrated strain gauge device to measure power.
