Paris Brest Paris 2027

Is it too early to talk about PBP 2027? I don’t think so! I’m starting this thread as a space to swap training tips and updates as we prepare for the big one.

I’ve been using TrainerRoad, but since it’s not really designed for multi-day ultras in my opinion, I’ve had to get creative with my calendar. Right now, I’m working on my raising my FTP, but once the sun stays out longer, I’ll be shifting to 1–2 intense interval sessions a week followed by back-to-back “big” rides on the weekends.

The big goal for this year is to finish the Northstar 630 as a dress rehearsal for 2027.

What’s your strategy? Are you sticking to a specific TR plan, or are you hacking the calendar like I am? Let’s hear your updates!

Curious what you’re riding for this. I watched the Frek Story and ended up picking up a couple of 1982 Trek 610’s to modify into a Frek for some rando rides.

Right now I ride my diverge with a dynamo hub set up on 32mm road tires. I hope to get a dedicated bike like a Mason, Roubaix, or a some titanium bike. Do you plan on doing PBP or some large rando this year?

That was a cool video, thanks to bring it up!

I’m not doing PBP, just got inspired by the Frek video and wanted to build one for eventual rando’s/light touring/Henry Wildeberry rides.
