Missed this thread last year, but I’d recommend the Zipp 303 Firecrest as others have done. At least here in Europe they are sometimes to be had quite cheaply. Have no experience with those 303 XPLR though.
Still very happy with them. Rode the UCI worlds qualifier in Wales in September and they took a battering in terrible weather but they were absolutely fine. Great wheels.
Do you know how much your revives with i9 hydras weigh? I’m looking at a bike with them and guy doesn’t know how much they weigh. Thanks
I never weighed them separate from my bike, so no, I don’t know.
Berd Sparrows are as low as 1,026 grams. I got a set of Hawk 27s on my mountain bike and they were a game changer.
I’d like to get them to do the gravel hubs with thier 30mm iw rims.
These are discontinued now but i find a few on sale, what’s your experience been like?
They are great! Light weight and considered “climbing wheels.” Not very aero but it gets windy here so the low profile is nice. I think it has 22 & 23 inner width but have had 47 pathfinders on them. Currently running 32 mm slicks on them.
Like you I got mine on sale and feel like it was a great value.
