My point here was that we do have marathon MTB discipline plans, and it is possible to achieve really high volume plans with TR, so I think there might be an issue or some confusion here that’s stopping you from achieving what you want.

I think the main difference in the longer events, as far as TR is concerned, is there is a major difference between finishing an event and competing in the event. Many of us are looking to compete in the longer event not just survive. Maybe TR could incorporate a goal metric into their equation to help the training progression and that would provide the difference between progressing volume vs intensity.
