Do bike bag/boxes for air travel exist for both MTB and road bikes? Obviously not at the same time haha. And if so, recommendations appreciated
Yes - many soft sided travel carriers can accommodate both drop bars and MTBs. With these carriers, you are required to remove the handlebars, and both wheels.
Many people like the Evoc, Dakine, and Thule branded bags. I have used all three throughout the years, and I own a Chain Reaction Cycles carrier.
Each of these carriers have their own way to secure the frame to the carrier, but are all similar.
