Pressure, volume, physical size. Pick 2. If you needed one pump to do everything then I’d say high pressure. Topeak Pocket Rocket for me. Gets the job done on any bike, any valve. At home I’m using a track-pump. Out on the road the pump is for the exceptional case of a flat. In that case I don’t bother if it requires 50 or 250 strokes.
