Anyone else having awful stuttering on the Eurosport player or just my bandwidth?
Answered my own question, a restart of the firetv seemed to fix it, haha

Just climbed on the trainer to watch.
Haha the Spanish feed isn’t much different. English feed “mostly” talks about the race, Spanish shoots the s@&t! Good drinking game, every time they mention Alberto contador ![]()
I forgot how darn pretty the scenery is for this race. That coastline road around 45 km to go looks like an absolute blast to ride on.
I would love to see Tim Declercq numbers. He’s a robot
Had been going to post that I could see this ending up with Bennett winning, on the basis that the key men would be so well marked that a decent bunch would come off the Poggio still together. Then he gets a mechanical! Back on now but that must have burned a few matches.
I’m going WVA (think MVDP must have some price to pay for going so deep on such a cold day in TA, though he’ll probably prove me completely wrong). Ganna as a dark horse.
WVA’s numbers show him averaging 455 watts. These boys are stronk.
Fireworks have to be coming. Bennett might have burned a bunch of match’s, see how he does on the climb
This kid is smashing up this hill. Even Luke Rowe looks like he’s struggling to keep the power down at that level!
Yup, Bettiol, Gaviria and Kristoff out the back. Thinning out the sprinters.
Wout appears alone now, thought he might have a few guys left
Wonder if pidcock attacks on the piggio
All the favorites look to be in good position entering the climb. Even GVA is in the mix!
And Ganna is jus shelling everybody right now.
Wow
What a move! They were just talking about this exact thing on the podcast on Thursday, too! He timed it perfectly and everybody looked at everyone else because the group was so strong and nobody wanted to tow Alaphilippe, MVdP and WVA to the line. All you need is that hesitation to create a gap.
Nice finish. I love it when a last minute attack like this pays off
Loved it. What a great last 15 minutes.
Not the greatest edition, but in hindsight, I guess somewhat inevitable…3 huge favorites adn everyone watching each other. Once a big group got over the top of the Poggio, I figured it would be a sneak attack that got it. It is usually the counter that wins it from that, but Stuyven played it perfectly by recovering on Anderson’s wheel just enough.
Nobody talking about Caleb Ewan and that heroic effort to stay with the favorites and sprint it out for 2nd? Him being in that group changed the very dynamic of the race. I was damn near jumping off my trainer when he threatened that little attack towards to top of the Poggio.
