Male cyclists, how much do you weigh?

177cm and 70-75kg depending on the time of year.

186cm and 68-73kg (unfortinately closer to 73 at the moment :grimacing:)

Can I put my pre children weight or do I have to do my current weight?

I’m 2.fat w/kg if that helps. :sob:

Ive put on about 5lbs (finally middle age spread) and siting at 137-8lbs first thing in the morning. Im 5ft9in tall.

87kg, 184cm tall. Till 2/3 years ago was on a decade long streak of strength sports, and the body is taking a long time to change into a more cycling friendly configuration. Carrying a lot of unnecessary upper body weight on the bike. Even stopped gym work except for core stuff roughly 1 year ago, but it’s amazing how long a certain body type can stick on for

Sadly there seems to be a difference for some… :unamused:

I’m 192cm and 85kg atm, in the process of getting sub 85.
I can’t fathom though how some people that are around 185cm can weigh 73kg or even below 70kg. They’d have to be extremely skinny or perhaps there’s a scale malfunction :joy:

178cm and 67kg and was sub 65kg at the peak of competition season.

Coming from a field sports background I was generally 78-82kg and holding significantly more muscle. When I started cycling I couldn’t fathom how a so called man could weight below 70kg and it was completely ridiculous.

Now I weight less than my teenage son .

I love cycling in the mountains and it feels great being light when in good form. I do look gaunt in the face but I have been like this for 6 years so it attracts less comments these days.

It’s a myth that’s its middle aged spread. The spread will have occurred over many years and can be undone

I’m not being serious about middle aged spread. Its not occurred over many years for me however, but I’m not typical. I was never big at school but weighed circa 160lbs. took pancreatitis and dropped to circa 120lbs. Moved out and found beer and was circa 145lbs. Found cycling and stayed a steady 133lbs till my early 40s. At some point bowel cancer came along but bizarrely my weight stayed stable (erratic weight change is supposed to be the biggest sign!) after having 5-6lbs cut out of me during chemo I could be as low as 105lbs. After that was all finished I was a stable 133lbs for 4 years but over this last year or two boredom eating and making too many cups of tea to warm up my neuropathy ridden hand which inevitably comes with biscuits has seen me put on that 5lbs to circa 138lbs,

Edit: and that 5lbs can easily be undone by cutting back on the biscuits, basically getting out of the habit of having them with tea,

Ah nothing to do with middle age then. Just a sustained change in eating habits.

Indeed. I am one of the few folk who is actually happy to be heavier given my history :+1:

Currently at my highest w/kg in my life thanks to TR.

I was 185 cm at 67 kg for most of my cycling life. I found it easy to get down to that weight. I looked horrid though. Especially looking back at old photos. My FTP was around 290 so I should have been fast, but it never felt like it, my best friend was 7 kg lighter and had 20 more watts FTP so I still got dropped on every hill.

I’ve been working really hard to get to 80 kg, I’m just about at 77 kg at the moment so a bit more to go.
