What is that shoe rack? I need one!

Found it on Amazon.

Thank you!

How do you get access to the bikes on the wall? Move a bunch of stuff out of the way each time?

I don’t hair to move anything I just lean over and lift them off. I am about 6’ tall so that helps a bit. The Ŧ bike only gets ridden about 4 mos out of the year so it is in the back. The bike in the front you can just walks straight up to and lift off.

Updated. Wall is vinyl plank flooring. Fold down bike hanger from Home Depot works great. Added an IR sauna (SOW-nuh, not saw-nuh for those who don’t have around with Finlanders:)) as well. Have some gymnastic rings for upper body work, and parked under the skis is a Whipr base unit with a DIY setup skierg to use it where there isn’t a door frame handy. Above the dumbell rack is a neat Norwegian diagonal stride resistance device back from my racer days in the last century. A little more decorating to do, and still thinking about replacing the flooring but overall I’m quite well set indeed. Guess now I have to actually work out…

@Hampstenfan What does it feel like in the IR sauna? I’ve always thought they were interesting.

Perfect timing; just got out of a 45 min session with a Christmas Eve roll in the snow:)

Very similar to a traditional sauna, even though the temp is lower. My IR tops out at about 140F, while in a trad one I like it at 160-180F (my wife won’t go in those with me – too hot for her). The IR is drier since you don’t add humidity to kick up the heat, but I do get condensation on the inside of the windows at the bottom edge) which I’m assuming is from my sweat (sorry if that grosses anyone out). My basement is about 58F this time of year (high outside today was 6F with steady 20-20-25mph winds) so even with thermal glass there’s a big temp differential. I should bring in one of my digital thermo/hygro units to see what the humidity actually us.

I did a lot of reading and the health benefits of IR matches those of trad.

Very cool, thanks! I’d love to have one of those.

Thanks! I found these as I am based in the UK.
Do you know if with this system I will mark the white walls with tyres or handlebars? I would not like that, or the missus. I will be very careful but worth asking.

The handlebars get nowhere close to the walls. The 90 degree metal brackets are what your tires lean against so your tires do not touch the wall. Setting it up can be tricky to get it right but once done it is easy to put the bike up and not mark the walls

I have a similar wall mount for my bikes and at least for me, it just had one wheel mount per set (for the front wheel).

I put up some whiteboard / self-adhesive foil to put on the white wall, so it would be easy to keep clean and doesn’t leave marks on the wall.

how does the kickr bike feel on a rocker board?

It feels good to me. I had the rocker before the kickr bike. But it just gives me the movement to make things feel more comfortable. Doesn’t feel weird or anything. Climb feature feels fine

New house 1 year ago, and now a little love to the pain cave:

Flooring from rubberflooringinc.com, and just sprayed everything white. Feels less sterile with sunlight coming in.

I think that qualifies as a pain cave complex

My wife also races. And manages a bike shop.

UCI will soon ban marrying such women.
