As predicted - couldnβt get through the warmup without turning the difficulty down.
Managed to only just complete the intervals with a 7% reduction though which is better than I expected (Saddle Mountain). Which would put my FTP in the region of 260-265 (down from 281 pre COVID).
I still donβt really understand FTPD logic of trying to give me 282 this morning:
- Last proper workout Thursday 24th Feb
- Rest week combined with trip (mainly cycling very slowly round London on hire bikes).
- Test positive for COVID 8th March. No rides that week except one PL 1.0 on the Sunday (not marked easy either)
- Do a few endurance rides last week, very easy PL ones.
- Test negative Saturday 19th - whole period marked as sick in TR.
So effectively 3 weeks off and all the rides Iβve done with power have had consistently elevated HR.
If I manually reset my FTP now will I still have to wait 2 weeks to try it again? Is that still a thing with manual changes?
