Idea: route based workouts

I’d really like to see workouts tailored to specific outdoor routes. E.g., I say “Today I’m going to ride around this particular loop”. TR says “Okay, the first part has a bunch of traffic lights and traffic, so warm up until you get past the freeway — don’t exceed X watts. Then there’s a little hill that will take about 4 minutes. Since this is a hard day, do four 30 second intervals at X watts. Then it’s steep downhill for 2 minutes: soft pedal.” Etc. Download that workout to my Garmin and provide both time-based and location-based cues that make sense with where I’m riding.

I submitted something like this a couple years ago. The opposite works too. I plan a route and TR tells me what power to hit, and durations based on the hills, stops lights etc, to achieve a certain training goal.

This would be AMAZING!

I would also love to see a feature like this. Would absolutely allow me to do more workouts outside which would like mean more workouts overall.
