We have several race specific threads which are great to strategize, discuss race tactics, or maybe meet up with other forum members. Those are usually the bigger threads that have a lot of forum member participation (Unbound, Leadville, etc.).
A lot of members do smaller/local races that are great to discuss but may not warrant their own thread or have somewhere else to go.
Starting this thread as a place for members to discuss those races, results, what worked/didn’t, etc. A good place to relish in crushing your goal, or gain sympathy after falling apart.

Crushed my 100 mile gravel race goals today. As a newer rider most of my goals are just power related as I can’t always control what groups I’ll end up with (average speed) or who shows up (placing). Using power helps me gauge my progress.
My power goal was a NP of 195 and I did 210.
My time goal was 6 hours (assuming a lot of solo riding) or a stretch goal of 5.5 hours if I got with some fast groups. I finished in 5hrs 12 mins, and in 11th place (small local race, but still a lot of strong riders, two guys sprinted it out for the win at 4hrs 46 mins).
Great ride overall. I hung with the lead group until the 50 mile aid station. From there I worked with some strong riders trading pulls until I couldn’t hang at 85 miles and finished the rest solo.
What didn’t go as well: woke up at 1:45am for no reason and never fell back asleep. Normally I’m a 7-8 hr sleeper about 95% of the time. Also hit the wall at 85 miles and felt pretty nauseous. I averaged 1700 calories over 5.25 hrs. Not terrible but a ways off from my target of 400/hr.
The new redshift stem worked great, especially with the aero bars. Made it a lot more confident using the aero bars during pulls and my solo ride in the really rough sections. Also going from a 100>90 mm stem length was a good choice.
Legs are pretty shot, have a 90 min deep tissue massage tomorrow, this week is a cutback/endurance week, then hitting it hard again for unbound prep.

Lol, that’s what it says when you click the “maximum effort.” It’s kind of dumb.. I mean, it’s a race, if I didn’t give it 100% effort that’d be a major disappointment. It’s not even “too intense.” It’s a race, that’s the PROPER intensity.
I know you were just ribbing, but I noticed that and don’t agree with how it’s reflected for a race effort
Oh, gotcha….I thought that was a TR-generated evaluation, not what you entered.
