Hello all,
I asked this on another forum (Reddit
), but I wanted to have your point because one of my reasons to possibly move to a dual-sided PM is consistency between indoors and outdoors watts/effort/etc.
Long story short, I’ve had mixed experience with the 4iii PM from my 2024 Aeroad. Lately, it has been extremely unreliable, with low to high readings, sometimes failing to connect, battery draining after a couple of rides, etc.
At this point, I’m honestly done with 4iii, and I don’t want to deal with such errors anymore.
It’s under warranty, but I have to send the crank back, and I’d like to have a dual-sided PM anyway, so the idea of getting a new one instead seems appealing.
The Favero Assioma PRO RS-2 is the one I have in mind.
My question is, has anyone made the switch to a dual-sided power because of malfunctions of their 4iii PM? How has your experience been? Is it worth it, or should I send it back for warranty?
Thanks!
