All Fizik shoes I have tried were extremely narrow. I have wide feet. But I couldn’t even get more than half a foot into them.
Their selection of wide shoes has shrunk over the years (ditto for e. g. Specialized), so I opted for Lake and Bont shoes. Bont shoes are super stiff and light, but are not very walkable. My Riot+ MTB were almost as stiff as my S-Works 7 in some directions and feel equally stiff in others for less than half the price. But the the same reason I don’t want to walk long stretches in my S-Works, the Riot+ MTB are not very walkable. However, if you want to race offroad, these shoes are a bargain, and Bont has tons of sizing options including e. g. half-sizes and up to four (!) widths.
The Lakes I got are much more walkable, although they are designed to be more comfy while walking and less stiff. I use them on my commute, so that’s the local optimum for me. At 160 € they were quite affordable and the quality is top notch. Next time I might spend extra to get the Boa dial.
For you something like their MX20g might be what you are looking for. It is marketed as a walkable gravel shoe at a reasonable price (€250).
