Fast cornering on loose gravel

I have a gravel race coming up with many many fast descents, most ending with tough corners and a rule against taking the inside line. Last year I did well in the race on 45mm tires but got killed on the descents due to fear. Any tips on tire choice, width, and overall tips for handling in looser thick gravel???

sometimes you just need to let it rip. Don’t deathgrip the bars, and sort of surf with the bike.

Iowa Wind and Rock had really deep, loose gravel. While you’ll shift around a bit, you’re not going to fall over, so just surf it.

Good luck!
