I would like a feature where TR can estimate my current power curve. With the new AI there are concerns that while it may pick appropriate workouts but that it isn’t reliable for people who pace outdoors off of FTP. There have been many times where I haven’t done VO2 for a month or so but that doesn’t mean that because I have no short duration power. If TR can estimate fitness decay in different energy zones than certainly it can estimate how much power it thinks I can hold for 5 minutes even though all my recent workouts had longer intervals.
I think that if they could do that then they could also estimate what I can hold for an hour. Then if I want to pace, I could look at the graph for the duration I want and the expected power I can hold.
The current power curves only show me what I have done and not what it thinks I can do. All time numbers from a couple years go are of no value to pacing today. Likewise more recent numbers don’t always show what I could do depending upon recent training.
