Grand Fondo completed yesterday. That win was unbelievable. On 64mm rims it was interesting to say the least. The slog over Pendeyn moor was a struggle! Crosswinds meant I couldn`t even enjoy the downhills! Stunning scenery though.
I dragged a group of about 15 along that moor and then probably paid for it on the last two climbs. Cracking day out though, just wished it was a little less windy.
Those were two of my regular climbs so I knew what to expect and just did enough to get over them but struggled on the moor.
I did the Gran Fondo and throughly enjoyed it, great event and route.
The wind was crazy at times but nice when it was on your back.
I’m doing the Devil this year, anyone else? Hopefully the weather will be better than what I just read about the last edition in the posts above

As long as the wind is uphill all the way I’ll be fine
