Might be too soon to call it, but with the Samsung Ring and Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Ultra Watch, Samsung might have made a Whoop competitor without the subscription cost. I’m really interested in seeing their readiness score functionality as well as the health tips. Anyone else considering trying out the Samsung products instead of their Whoop?
I switched from whoop to a Garmin Venue 3. No sub required and no regrets
I have tried Samsung before, and I am never going back. I don’t believe they want to make a quality fitness product like Whoop or Garmin do. What I do believe is that Samsung want to take a cut of the fitness marked which is booming.
Woop is obselete anyway - it doesn’t provide any value. It’s just like someone telling you the weather right now when you can look out the window.
Yeah I’ve been doing hrv4training hrv measurements since november but really every time it told me to limit intensity was already after a hard day, when ill or hungover. I’ll finish my subscription for hrv4training pro but won’t renew and will probably stop taking hrv measurements altogether
I love that analogy
The most useful thing wearables provide for me is, no need to carry cell phone and wallet and crash warning but regarding biometrics they indeed tell me what I already knew…
The correlations were fun to learn but once you learn them its not worth the coin IMHO.
I used Whoop quite a few years ago and it helped me mainly with understand sleep and impact on HRV. At that time Garmin’s ecosystem was behind. However since then my Garmin Epix 2 does everything Whoop did, plus a whole lot more.
I use Samsung for my tech gadgets (phone, tablet, earbuds), but sticking with Garmin for the fitness/sleep monitoring.
