Enve trade in trade up program is live. Not a very good deal IMO, but might be just the thing to push you over the edge if you’ve been on the fence about new wheels. (Note: USA only)

True. Flo Cycling just launched their trade-up program offering 20% off select wheels. I believe their program is through The Pro’s Closet though.
Steepandcheap has some older Enve wheels on serious discounts vs MSRP.
The cut the amount they are offering by $100 this year. Last year it was $1000 for Enve wheels and $700 for non-Enve.
Also, last year it started as carbon only for trade-in, but on/around Black Friday they opened it up to being able to trade-in non-carbon wheels. I traded an old beat up set of alloy road wheels to get $700 off a new set of M525’s for the hard tail XC build I was working on. My local shop handled the trade-in for me and I just brought in the old wheel set to them.
I would jump on that but don’t have any old carbon hoops worth less than $600. Hope they do that again.
Tacx Vortex is 274 USD for the next 14 hours on Chain Reaction.
Does this make the Vortex a good budget first Smart trainer for TrainerRoad, coming from a Kurt Kinetic RM?

25% off sale on https://togs.com/
I run them on my mtbs. Just ordered a set for the gravel bike.
For Canadians, Bike Depot has 15% off Black Friday sale. I’ll be picking up some Di2 parts.
I purchased the Vortex in February for $230 shipped from Chain Reaction and I’ve seen it around that price from them several times.
I don’t regret the purchase but it would definitely be a downgrade in terms of road feel for you.

Someone has a better price for European H2 than ProBikeKit which is sub 700 euro with the DDUK voucher? With the H3 at 934 euros and Neo2 at 1016 euros, I’ll probably take the H2 now.
Castelli Omloop Thermal (there are a few versions) and they are fantastic. They are long shorts, but every bit as warm as my 3/4 Gore Thermal. The fabric feels like a warm hug, but you won’t overheat The problem with proper 3/4 bibs is that the leg cuff wants to ride in a specific spot, meaning it will try to dictate where the thigh and pad ultimately wants to be. The long shorts just over that area above the knee caps, which is all you really need. Melin usually has them for $75.
The Omloop pair really well with DeFeet wool leg warmers, which have replaced by Castelli nanoflex units. The nice thing about the wool ones is that they stretch more than the synthetic ones, allowing you to use them in knee or leg warmer mode with the Omloops.
Happy to drop some thumbs up for anyone finding smoking deals on bibs. Castelli is great but open to options.
at Clever Training Saris H3 with VIP membership ($10 purchase) $599 including shipping!
Looks at Canadian price at $1329 again…
If you are in the USA, REI has a 20% one item thing going on pre-Thanksgiving, and usually their online competitors run the same promotion (backcountry/competitivecyclist, coloradocyclist, moosejaw, etc).
20% is a nice discount off $200+ bibs, my preference in Castelli too.
How are you getting this?
- The MSRP for the H3 is $1,000 USD
- The current CT sale has it 25% off, for $750 USD
Are you taking another 20% off that $750 USD to get to $600 USD?
- If so, I don’t think that works since you probably can’t stack discounts unless specifically stated as such.
I am skeptical of the $600 USD price claim.
It works. $599 with VIP membership for SARIS H3. Not sure how long this will last. You can get free VIP membership with coupon (SBTCTVIP): https://smtbk.co/SarisH3
Yeah, I’m also seeing 749.99 VIP at clever training for the H3.
Wow, it appears so… Something tells me that is a mistake… since that is effectively a sale at cost.
you can be skeptical but I bought one and know others that have as well. Hope you guys can take advantage of it.
Of course I haven’t received it yet but fingers crossed!
