Hi All,
GCN featured these guys and I’m guessing they blew up. I ordered a kit on July 6 hoping to have it for a race on Aug 8th. I emailed them on Aug 4th to see if they had any updates. They replied they are shipping the April and May preorders, with June and July order following next.
Is anyone else out there waiting for the kit? and if you have your kit is it worth the wait?
Seems like a neat product. Just unfortunate I may not be able to use it until next riding season.
$272 seems a bit steep when I can get a crock pot from a thrift store for $3. the apparent portability of the system is nice but honestly, if I am traveling I just use a drip wax for a few days if I will need to add wax. Most times I am fine just waxing the chain before a trip. I am a little confused by cleaning the chain in the wax. Is the grime left behind not contaminating the wax somehow? There is a decent amount of stuff that comes off my chain into my methylated spirits when I clean mine. I would not want it in my wax.
The chain spool is a neat feature. I will have to go to my library and 3d print one.

Thanks, I have considered the crockpot method. Based on what I’ve heard temperature control makes a difference on how the wax melts and adheres to the chain.
The chain spool is nice and Ive seen other 3d prints for other existing wax systems like Silcas.
Might consider switching to something like that if I don’t see anything soon.
When I saw the kit on GCN I thought it looked really but was turn off by the price.
I’m really starting to think that these companies thing that our brain are oxygen deprived and us cyclist will pay anything for products.
I got one of those knock off wax pots and it been working for me.
