Other than the Garmin and Bontrager lights, are there any other bike lights that can connect to and be controlled by a Garmin head unit (Edge 1030)?
Interested in any advice on selecting lights for night riding on road and gravel.

Not strictly answering your question but I’m a fan of Exposure lights, think I have the Strada SB. I have the remote under bar tape near the hoods so I can change the light setting depending on wether its a fast decent, oncoming cars etc…

I can’t have my varia/1030 setup correctly. The radar works fine but a notification as to the light network is now disconnected comes up on the 1030 
When you add the varia in the garmin “add sensor” settings, add it as a light rather than as a radar. It will then work as part of the light network and the radar function will also be added automatically
