@mitch5albert in other posts TR has said that existing users will have the option to use the new system via the Early Access toggle, but new users will be onboarded directly into TR AI.
The emails say subscribe now and get the features when released. They are pretty clear that they are coming soon.
This sounds great! It would have been very useful last summer! ![]()
So, admittedly, this is a guess, so might be a wrong answer, but…I’d be very surprised if TR is planning to maintain two totally different versions of the software long term. From a Support perspective, that’s a nightmare.
TrainerRoad AI and AI FTP Detection - #9 by Nate_Pearson?
From everything TR has said it sounds like soon.
reasonable answer. I understand but I just never like being on the “cutting edge” of new software.
No. Everything is written in present tense. “Simulation window gives you…“ and not “Simulation window will give you..”
I understand there are problems and bugs. I understand texts are written and will be used also in future as features will work flawlessly. But I subscribed 2 weeks to soon. ![]()
Yes, I read it now. Not before I subscribed.
Closed beta has been at least since September…
This sounds great. I have a training plan set up starting on Jan 5 so far without the AI bells and whistles. My TSS over time stays steady, and doesn’t reflect the increase in TSS required for a big one day event, and no way to indicate the kind of duration/volume increase to get me ready.
Will TR AI have some way of me telling it how big my event is, and it will work out how my volume needs to grow over the training period.
Excited to see this when it launches!
Yes! That is my question also. have a plan set up and it shows no real increase in CTL. I know from past experiences What I need my CTL to be to have a good century ride. The plan that has been set up shows no gain in my CTL throughout the whole plan.
Funny how I’ve seem this as a problem the past year.
And in my latest training plan, i’ve just adjusted the weekend rides to default to a min 2.5 hour endurance ride, just to adapt to my needs. Compare this to the default 1/1.5 hour ride recommended.
Ultimately it still comes down to how many hours you are able to or willing to put in. The AI isn’t going to override the constraints you yourself set.
Yeah i get that - but in terms of building TSS and volume - it would be good for TR AI to know where i’m headed and to build the volume as I progress. The rule of thumb used to be an additional 10% a month or similar - how does TR AI handle that progression?
Still in time to get part into this beta?
Have you signed up for it?
yesterday i filled a form at the top of another thread that i think was for the new TR feature like FTP prediction and so on. Don’t know if is it the same forms valid for both beta. I used this form Redirect Notice
We’re closing out some of these marketing threads since we launched yesterday. ![]()
We’ll have a new TR AI thread up shortly, and all feedback, questions, etc. should go into that thread moving forward. We’re doing our best to keep things tidy! ![]()
