Can you add too much endurance work?

I basically did that approach with LV plan + 2 1h z1 active recovery days and 2 x 2-4hr z2 endurance rides on the weekend (10-12hrs / week typically.) It kinda fell apart when I hit the second half of Sustained Power Build though. SSBI/II were fine on consecutive days and I got through the first half of SusPB with the 3 LV rides on consecutive days. But I melted down in the second half of SusPB. Were I to do it again I would prioritize 2 of the SusPB workouts from the very beginning and make sure I’m recovered for them, and the third would be a ā€˜best effort’ with no concerns bailing on it or skipping it. Just throwing that out as depending on your ability to recover, do supra-threshold workouts well while fatigued, etc. you may need to adjust the schedule.

Yea I think my approach will only be for base not build. strength work outs and endurance rides in base packed for the volume and move to build where endurance rides are reduced and strength workouts are put to a minimum. I too have fallen apart during build with to much volume.
