there’s an interesting study suggesting block periodisation (1 week of 5xHIT sessions followed by 3 weeks of 1xHIT and the rest LIT) was more effective than 4 weeks of traditional training (2xHIT sessions and the rest LIT every week)

and the study also stated:

“Importantly, the long- term effects of BP remains unknown. The effects of repeating the present 4-week period of BP over a longer period of time remains to be investigated.”
