Same, it doesn’t count as “screen time” for me as long as I’m getting paid to do it, and I sit in front of a computer all day at work.
I’ll add my name to the list of gamers. After a long ride, I don’t feel like doing much other than sitting on the couch, so it’s easy to just zone out and game. I recently picked up a Steam Deck and it’s amazing. So many games at my fingertips and I can go from the couch to bed when I’m feeling extra lazy. Plus it frees up the TV to throw on bikes races in the background.
Same except the race part. I realized a long time ago that I did not have the stuff to be competitive so for me there is no point in competing. Numbers however are my nerdy engineer thing….
I recently got a ps5 and have been hooked on Gran Tourismo 7 lately. Bought it to help my ADD on rest days/ days off from work. To get me to actually relax a bit.
In my head the racing might help with bike skills especially with the faster cars. The turns come so quick and you have to have a really good technique on the corners to have a chance at winning.
I put gaming on the bottom of the totem pole of priorities but I seem to always find time for it.
Kids are taught to have high self-esteem if they’re particularly good at something … whereas self-worth teaches you the concept that no matter what you’re good at, no matter what you’re bad at, you’re a human being and you’re worthy of love and compassion.
