To answer your question, based on a lot of input and experimentation, I have had great success with endurance + tempo (not quite strict LT1 training but just slightly harder…76-.81 IF…sometimes .83).

I’ve actually just set this up last night to give it a try. Mostly because I want to work on a couple local KOM’s and feel its time to switch over to Zone 5 and above energy system training along with Zone 2. I have not really done any Zone 2 training on the bike (other than trail running on the wee…
