Great podcast Jonathan. Nobody else has this content. What would be really cool is if TR could calculate a variable FTP throughout a ride file based on elevation difference from one’s “home” elevation. It would result in more accurate IF and TSS calculations for many outside rides.

Yk, the world uses metric system. Everything in base 10. That’s easy, that’s why the majority of the world uses it.
You can keep feet, horsepower, inches, etc all for yourself

I think adding in the conversions in post editing makes sense. But I think we should give the host and guests some grace. They are doing their best to make the conversation natural and relaxing. Having to constantly do math is going to mess up the flow. Even if majority of the world uses metric, I think it’s best to let them do whatever they are most comfortable with. If they simply put text on the screen afterwards to show the conversion that seems like it would be enough.

Agree, totally. Thing is that, when people talk in imperial units, they seem to not care/bother that most of the world doesn’t use it. I see very few podcasters/youtubers adding the on screen conversion unfortunately. Both ways.

That’s true. And I would naturally expect podcasters to use what they are most comfortable with and grew up learning. Not sure what else to say about it.
