GRUSK: underrated, low-key event that is SUPER well-run, great after party, and camping in one of the most beautiful settings youâll ever encounter for an event.
HillyBilly: It makes a return in 2025 for the first time since the last edition in 2019. One of the true pioneers of gravel + racing, and one of the toughest despite being under 100 miles. Stay a few extra days for some fun and extra riding in Morgantown.
I did GRUSK twice back when it was an official race, and the spruce Knob climb was at the end. Probably my favorite gravel course. Not sure if I like it as much with the big climb in the beginning as it completely changes the dynamic of the now not-race. what say you?
Come to Grateful Gravel! I havenât done Rasp (I keep working that weekendâŚ). The Onion was great this year even though I flatted about an hour in.
